Nicky Jansen is a multi-instrumentalist with a BMus degree from the University of Stellenbosch, specializing in saxophone and piano performance. She also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from UNISA.
She began performing at the age of 14 in the Southern Cape, playing at weddings and functions as both a solo artist and ensemble member.
As a music student, she continued to perform regularly at events in the Cape Winelands and Garden Route, honing her skills across various musical settings.
Nicky has showcased her talent on national stages, including the KKNK, and has performed internationally in cities such as New York, London, Helsinki, Hürth, Cologne, Melbourne, Sydney, and Herzliya.
She continues to immerse herself in performance opportunities as a soloist, ensemble member,
and band member while serving as the co-founder and director of The Music HQ in Cape Town,
where she is dedicated to music education and performance.
